SHIPS BELL. A brass ships bell engraved SALVOR with scroll, complete with clapper. The S.S.SALVOR was built in 1909 by J.P.Renoldson & sons, South Sheilds. Owned by Mersey docks and harbour board and registered at Liverpool, she was 110 ft in length with a registered tonnage of 213. Height 11.5, diameter at mouth 12. The SALVOR was believed to be an ocean going tug which operated out of Liverpool and supposedly one of the Salvors masts is still standing in the docks at Liverpool !! Price on application |
