ANTIQUE SEXTANT. An very fine, early 19th Century ( circa 1830’s ) vernier sextant signed Gambey, Paris. Original brass finished frame with gold laquer. The silvered inlaid scale divided 5-0-150 degrees. The index arm has a swivel magnifier to read the vernier scale and a fine tangent screw adjustment.
