MODEL, A sailor made waterline model of the four masted barque “LAWHILL”. The scratch built model is depicted at anchor with a three masted barque sailing past in the background. Details include standing and running rigging and a very accurate and detailed deck layout, the hull is mounted onto a moulded painted sea with a painted sky backdrop and contained in an Oak and glass display case. L 35”(89 cm) x H 19”(48 cm) x D 9”(23 cm). The “LAWHILL” was built in Dundee by W.B Thompson and Co LTD in 1892 and had a gross tonnage of 2816, she was the last trading square rigger owned in the British Empire !. P.O.A.
